I’ve used Synthroid for years. It’s not like I need to schedule a appointment with my doctor. I take Synthroid daily for 2-3 months. Then I take it for 3-4 months and I’ve had no side effects. I’ve been prescribed Synthroid for over a year. Can anyone share their experience?

Hi K, I have been on Synthroid for a year. My doctor has prescribed Synthroid for me for an enlarged gland. He has prescribed a prescription for it for me. I am taking Synthroid for the first 3 months and am considering using it for the second 2 months of my medication. Can I make sure I’m not taking the medication for the same reason, or is it more likely to cause side effects?

I’m going to need to schedule a doctor appointment, but I don’t want to do that at my doctor’s office. I’m not sure what to do about this. I also am on a maintenance medication called Cymbalta. I don’t have any symptoms. I’ve been on it for 3 months and the side effects are quite bothersome. I’ll ask around for the doctors office to see if they can recommend something for me.
